Kayne West Says He Has Made It Bigger Than Michael Jackson

So it really isn’t new news that Kanye West is one of the most, if not the most, egotistical douchebags around currently. It also isn’t shocking that he continues to live in this warped world where he is the greatest, most
innovative artist alive.

However, he manages to still spew some insane shit about himself that makes the rest of the world tilt their head to the side and go “Is he serious right now?”

West has now he has taken his ridiculously way too high opinion of himself to a new level by saying that he believes he has broken more creative barriers than Michael Jackson.

Giving a not so subtle back handed compliment, Kanye starts off telling BBC Radio 1 that if not for Michael Jackson he wouldn’t exist as an artist, but then quickly reminds the world that the person who really can take all the credit for West is West himself.

“I was able to ascend to massive heights, and I’ve got to a point that Michael Jackson did not break down. I have reached the glass ceiling, as a creative person, as a celebrity and I’ve been at it for 10 years.”

Drake wants to surpass Kayne West

Drake has said it is his ambition to surpass Kanye West.

Rolling Stone reports that the rapper was speaking to journalist Elliott Wilson at New York University’s Skirball
Center last night (September 23) ahead of the release of his new album ‘Nothing Was The Same’, which is released today
(September 24). During the conversation, he revealed that he
saw West as the main competition and benchmark when it came to “consistency” and creating a great body of work.

“When it comes to competition, I’m more worried about consistency, about bodies of work,” he said. “I’m talking about hit records… that’s Kanye West. He’s always going to be the guy who’s
trying to outthink and outdo. That’s my guy I aspire to surpass.”

Drake also spoke about Kendrick Lamar, who called him out in his controversial ‘Control’ verse. Previously, Drake had
downplayed Lamar’s challenge but has now admitted he is intrigued to see what his competitor will do next. “I can’t wait
to see what he does because now it’s time to show and prove,” he said. “Consistency. It’s been like one album.
Consistency is make more than one album. I look forward to
seeing what he does. He’s super fucking talented.”

‘Nothing Is The Same’ will feature 13 tracks and include guest appearances from Drake’s father Dennis Graham, Jay-Z, James Blake and Detail as well as Sampha. Earlier this month (September) he admitted he was “sleeping in his
studio” to make sure the album, the follow-up to his 2011 LP ‘Take Care’, would be finished in time.

Calvin Harris (Highest Paid DJ 2013)

Calvin Harris has broken the UK chart record for scoring the largest number of top 10 hits from one album.

The Scottish DJ has had eight top 10 singles from his album 18 Months , breaking the previous record held by Michael Jackson who had seven top 10 hits from his 1987 album Bad, and his 1991 album Dangerous.

After Calvin Harris’ new single “I Need Your Love ft Ellie Goulding” reached number seven in the charts on Sunday, the DJ tweeted: “Eight top 10s from my album 18 Months now! So happy!!!”

His run of chart success began in June 2011 when “Bounce ft Kelis” peaked at number two, followed by “Feel So Close” (2), "We Found Love” with Rihanna (1), “Let’s Go ft Ne-Yo” (2), “We’ll be Coming Back ft Example” (2), “Sweet Nothing ft
Florence Welch” (1) and “Drinking From the Bottle ft Tinie Tempah” (5).

Katy Perry is the only artist on Harris’ heels, having scored seven top 10s from her 2010 album Teenage Dream.

18 Months has sold over 543,000 copies in the UK since its release in October 2012, spending two weeks at number one.

Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot said: “Many artists only achieve a handful of hits in their
entire careers, so for any act to secure three or four from one album is an excellent achievement. In turn, eight Top 10s from one album is not just impressive, it is absolutely
remarkable.”
